The building was constructed as a pre-engineered steel structure, with insulated roof and exterior and interior wall panels.

The addition included a new main entrance and lobby, a curling club with six ice sheets and a 400-seat lounge, an aquatic center with an eight-lane, competitive lap pool, a leisure pool with wave generation, a therapy pool, waterslides, and an outdoor splash park.
